Supporting your child at home: what to do between sessions

The work we do in sessions is important, but the real magic happens when those skills are reinforced at home. Consistency is key.

Here are a few simple ways to support your child between sessions:

    • Use the same language: If we use specific terms in sessions (like "The Zones of Regulation"), use them at home too.
    • Focus on the effort, not the outcome: Praise them for trying hard, even if they didn't get it perfectly right.
    • Create a calm homework environment: Minimize distractions and keep homework sessions short and focused.

Remember, you don't need to be their teacher. You just need to be their parent, providing a supportive environment where they feel safe to try and fail.

    Every child can thrive.

Start with a conversation. I respond personally to every inquiry — no sales team, no pressure, no pitch. Just a real chat about your child.
