For Schools
You don't need another vendor. You need a partner who makes your team stronger and your families feel heard.
Specialist SEN support for international and local schools across Hong Kong — screening, IEPs, early intervention, staff development, and transition support. Designed to fit around your team, not replace it.
Your learning support team is stretched. I can help.
You already know what your students need. The challenge isn't awareness — it's capacity.
Your SENCO is managing growing caseloads. Your classroom teachers are differentiating for 25 students with a handful who need far more than differentiation can offer. Parents are anxious, asking questions you don't always have time to answer thoroughly. And every term, a few more students arrive who don't quite fit the support structures you have in place.
I've been on your side of this for over two decades — working inside international and local schools across Hong Kong. I understand the pressures, the politics, and the genuine care that drives your team even when resources don't match demand. Surge exists to add specialist capacity where you need it most, without disrupting what's already working.
Practical, evidence-based support that fits your school.
Every school partnership starts with a conversation about what you actually need — not a pre-packaged offering. That said, here's the kind of work I do most often with schools:
SEN Screening & Assessment
When a teacher flags a concern but a full diagnostic feels premature, I provide structured screening that gives you a clear picture of where a student stands — their strengths, their gaps, and what kind of support is likely to make the biggest difference. This gives your team actionable data and gives parents a credible starting point for next steps.
Individualised Education Plans (IEPs)
I develop IEPs in collaboration with your learning support team, classroom teachers, and parents — ensuring plans are practical, measurable, and genuinely used rather than filed. I stay involved in review cycles so plans evolve as the student does.
Early Intervention Programmes
For younger students showing early signs of learning differences or developmental needs, I design and deliver focused intervention programmes that can run within your school schedule. Early action consistently leads to better outcomes — and reduces the intensity of support needed later.
Staff Workshops & Professional Development
I run targeted workshops for teachers and learning support staff on topics including neurodiversity awareness, classroom differentiation strategies, understanding executive function, and supporting students with specific learning profiles. These aren't generic presentations — they're built around your school's context and the challenges your teachers are actually facing.
Transition Support
Students moving between school systems — local to international, international to local, or arriving from overseas — often struggle with invisible curriculum gaps and cultural adjustment. I support these students individually and advise your team on how to bridge the transition effectively.
How we work together.
I'm not a supply agency and I'm not a one-off consultant. I work as an extension of your team — available when you need specialist input, stepping back when you don't.
We start with a conversation about your school's current needs, capacity, and priorities. From there, I propose a scope of work that might be as focused as screening three students or as broad as an ongoing termly partnership covering IEPs, staff training, and parent communication support.
I work on-site when needed and remotely when it makes sense. I communicate directly with your learning support team, attend review meetings, and make myself available to parents when you'd like an external specialist in the room.
Everything I do is documented clearly and shared with your team. There are no black boxes. My role is to make your existing support structure more effective — not to create a parallel one.
What I bring to your school.
25+ years inside Hong Kong's school system
I understand the specific demands, parent expectations, and regulatory landscape of both international and local schools. I'm not learning your context on the job.
Deep SEN expertise
PGDE in Special Needs from HKU, IB workshop certified (Cat. 1 & 3), registered teacher, ASDAN certified. I bring specialist knowledge that complements your generalist teaching staff.
A collaborative approach
I don't parachute in with recommendations and disappear. I work alongside your team, build their capacity, and make sure strategies are sustainable after my involvement ends.
Parent communication
One of the hardest parts of SEN support is the conversation with parents. I'm experienced in navigating these conversations with honesty, empathy, and clarity — and I can support your team in doing the same.
Continuity
Many of my school partnerships have run for years. Schools come back because the relationship is already built and the institutional knowledge compounds over time.
"We partner with Surge because Diptii understands our school's context implicitly. She doesn't just assess students; she builds practical roadmaps that our teachers can actually implement, and she supports our parents through every step. Her expertise has become an invaluable extension of our own learning support team."

Let's talk about what your school needs.
Every partnership starts with a conversation — no proposal, no commitment, no pitch deck. Tell me what's stretching your team, where the gaps are, and what would make the biggest difference this term. I'll be honest about whether I can help and what it would look like. If it's not the right fit, I'll say so.
