What to expect from your first session at Surge

Taking the first step to get support for your child can feel daunting. You might be wondering what actually happens in that first meeting. Let's demystify the process.

First, we start with a conversation—just you and me. This initial consultation is about understanding your child's world. We talk about what's working, what's hard, and what you hope to achieve. There's no pressure and no immediate commitment.

When your child comes in for the first session, the goal is simple: make them feel safe and understood. We start with an initial learning screening assessment with fun learning activities that help me to see how they think and process information, and where they are in their academic/learning journey. By the end of the first session, we decide on a short feedback session where we discuss a clear plan for your consideration.

By the end of the first session, your child should leave feeling capable, and you should leave feeling like you have a clear plan.

    Every child can thrive.

Start with a conversation. I respond personally to every inquiry — no sales team, no pressure, no pitch. Just a real chat about your child.
